STARS

Most of you know about Gordon's accident last August. Well as he was transfered by STARS helicopter to the Hospital, they asked him to be in their 2010 Calendar. So a couple of weeks ago we went to the "photo shoot". We call it his Bikini shoot! It was really neat to see the helicopter and their operation. They allowed us to take some family pictures in front of the helicopter too. The girls were not as happy as I thought they would be though, so we got some grumpy shots! Oh well...

Just a little smile Charity?
You can find this handsome man in the Stars 2010 swimsuit calendar...haha. Just kidding hun!

My Sister's Baby

Leticia had her baby! Little Ephraim Jon Christensen was born on Monday March 23rd. Weighing 7lb 11oz. He is so much smaller than Jacob was at 9lb 9oz! It was a much easier delivery. She is doing well and Jacob loves his baby brother.

Charity waited all day to hold the baby. She literally sat on the couch and waited her turn. And it took a while. When she finally got to hold him she didn't let go!

Faith was so delighted to see a "baba" (baby)

Just Jacob misssing here.

Faith didn't want us to take him away!
I'm in love with him too. I think we need another one...maybe a boy this time?!?

Our Trip to Brazil

I changed my previous post about our trip to Brazil because first, it was configured badly and second, I really didn't give our trip justice and didn't explain pictures very well, so I've re-done it now, hopefully it's worth it.

On January 12th 2009 we commenced our long, long trip. Taking a plane from Calgary to Toronto, then an overnight flight to Sao Paulo. (I think it was almost 12 hours long), then we had to kill time in Sao Paulo because our Bus would not be leaving until night time. (These busses are quite amazing and comfortable, with full reclining seats that lay out like a bed). The bus company treated us like VIP's so they had a smaller bus drive us around for free wherever we wanted in Sao Paulo while we waited for night to come.

So we chose a nearby Shopping mall where we could eat, rest, have A/C because it was cooking outside, and the kids could enjoy themselves in play areas. We were all pretty tired from our trip so far, but this was the best option. The kids really did enjoy the play area, and exausted themselves for the 8hr bus ride that awaited us!

Grace and Charity winning big time!

Faith did not want to get off the merry-go-round!

So when we finally arrived at my parent's house in Ponta Grossa, Parana, on January14th at 5am we thought we would all drop dead in bed. But the kids were too excited so the day began early... real early...

That evening we went to an all-you-can eat pizzaria. (It is just amazing that for about 7 bucks you can eat an unending variety of pizzas that they bring right to you) Pizza will never be the same again!

There is a reason why you can't see Charity and Grace in this picture, they are sleeping on their chairs before they could eat anything! Jacob and Faith fell asleep shortly afterwards.

So we got right into the good life and spent most days in the pool.

Faith and Jacob in their private "warm" pool.

Or relaxing in the hammock.

Just a nice view at a farm we visited

Fruit trees just grow anywhere!

Grace got to feed a baby cow, she was delighted and scared at the same.

The girls pretending to milk a cow

Up on top of a wind mill in Castrolanda

They never ceased to have fun!

The really big dutch shoes in Castrolanda, a little town colonized by dutch people.

Touring "Vila Velha" which means old Village. It's a Rock city that used to be under water millions of years ago... And that caused the forms and shapes on the rocks.

The coke bottle!

Here is some of the Brazilian "Atlantic forest" vegetation

The beautiful new Curitiba Temple (front)

Charity's little beach pose in the apartment. We Stayed right on beach front property. It was amazing!

"Ilha do Mel" beach meaning " Honey Island

We gave faith her own Private beach, thinking she wouldn't like to get sand in her bum...Boy were we wrong.

It was such a nice beach. The water was so warm.

a family dip

Malibu Babes???

Like I said before, it was hard to get the kids off the beach. They really were little beach bums!

Of course we took this opportunity to update family pictures.

It was quite an ordeal to get everyone to look or smile at the same time. My kids got grumpy pretty fast.

A family of out-laws! Have you seen these people???

We played on this police search thing, and had a blast.
Even Faith got the spirit! See her little hands on the wall? So cute.

So this was our trip to Brazil. The main reason being to be with family, I thought I would end on this picture of the Kulchetscki siblings. Me (Sarah), Leticia, Samuel, Luiza and Spencer.Till we meet again.
